The way the walls turned out, it almost looks as if they're sitting at a desk in the middle of Hell.
lol I've had nights like these at my first job.
@leorabbit247: What job did you have? And yes, it's always an interesting revelation when you realize "I've been sitting here for an hour and a half, and nothing has changed!"
I had late night shifts at a Michael's arts and craft store. Not too many people running at 10pm to buy paper and glue.
Hahaha the first three panels! :D
I had only one job that required sitting waiting for people and I used to draw most of the time then but it was kind of annoying because as soon as you start doing something people come in and when you're just sitting around it can last for hours...
@Oly-RRR: Yessss. That's how it was at my old job (oddly enough which was after I made this strip). There were days where you were going, going, going every minute- but the days where there was only like one appointment coming in were worse, because NOBODY wanted to be the one to take that customer, and there was nothing to do with the rest of the spare time except sit and bitch (which we gladly did) or "role play" customer interactions and sessions under the direction of our manager *rolls eyes*
@mitchellbravo: Gah, yeah, that sounds incredibly annoying! Would be cool if you were allowed to roleplay customer interactions like DnD or something though... "and now my customer crushes a shelf and goes 1 level up!!!"
@Oly-RRR: Ohmygoodness I *wish* we had been allowed to make things anywhere near that entertaining. Then again, when we were "encouraged" to "be fun with it," it just reinforced how badly none of us wanted to be there, lol.
This is masterful comedic timing!
@Squirreltastic-Blue: Thank you, thank you!!
