I'm quite pleased with the way these two pages have come out. Thoughts?

I figure they're playing with a cheaply made bat, but it probably still packs a whoopin', unfortunately for Uly. Perhaps he's "lucky" and just got grazed by the end of it...

This page is incredibly adorable! :D It's weird, I don't think kids are gentle precious creatures, they can be quite annoying nasty little buggers, but I really enjoy stories about kids being kids (especially flashbacks so I get to compare them to their adult versions).

@Oly-RRR: I know what you mean!! This past year I was doing substitute teaching so I saw kids running the gamut from 3-4 year olds to kids that are basically "Loud Era" age. Really opened my eyes a lot to the dynamics of kid-kid interaction that I'd forgotten in my time since being one.

@mitchellbravo: Awww, that's an interesting (and demanding) job! I tend to entertain kids during gatherings of some sort - seems more fun that staying around "proper" adults but man, can it be tiring.

@Oly-RRR: It's definitely been a great experience, and a reminder of the humanity of that little subset of humanity :P In particular I was often struck by how goddamn smart ten year olds are. Then the tragedy that is puberty comes swinging around the corner and knocks it all away :(

@mitchellbravo: Yeaaah, I think some parts of the brain literally stop working when all those hormones kick in.
