Mostly satisfied with the way this page turned out. Blocking of the last panel was a little obviously telegraphed I guess, but it was nice to draw a relatively pretty closeup of Marie for a change.

Guess who almost forgot to paint the fire before I scanned the picture! :D

Random question: Are the women tall, or are the guys just short???

Reply mitchellbravo, September 17th, 2013, 4:16 pm

@jolokiapepper97: LOL! It so happens that in this case both are true XD That's a really good panel to demonstrate just how big the difference is, isn't it?

Reply jolokiapepper97, September 17th, 2013, 5:40 pm

@mitchellbravo: Ah that's what I thought; and yes, that panel is perfect for it :D

@jolokiapepper97: P.s. the first comment you posted, I guess my computer was being weird and your polar bear was missing and I thought you got rid of it.. but then my computer went back to normal and I was happy to see the polar bear was still there! :P

@mitchellbravo: Aw, thank you! I actually considered changing my avatar a while ago, but I never got around to it. Since you like it though, I'll keep it :P

@TheSilverLeague: Hehehe thank you!! :) I was trying to channel a creepy Maurice Sendak for the first panel- didn't quite work out that way, lol, but I think it works XD

@jolokiapepper97: May your polar bear never go extinct.

I used to be kind of annoyed with Cecilia but i'm starting to really appreciate her cynicism.

Also, i enjoy learning the page titles only when i click to submit a comment, hee.

@Bluezilla: Oh cool!! Cecilia is one of the characters I rarely ever get feedback on so I really appreciate your commentary. The way I envision her has changed a lot since I started the comic but I'm glad to hear that her grumpiness is coming through XD

Hahaha the sad thing is I wanted to have the titles somewhere on the page visibly but have yet to figure out where I'd like it best. Eh! Maybe it works okay enough as a little easter egg!

@mitchellbravo: Yeah, i guess she has often seemed very much like a wet blanket and not super fun all of the time. But at this stage i can start to see that this is also a type of strength, it's useful, and it probably has built up in response to things in her life that i don't know about yet. Her response to Clarabelle at the end of this chapter also shows a lot about her. :)

yay characters!

@Bluezilla: Aaaah yay I'm glad the depth is coming through :)

Depending on how popular that place is for camping the forest might be populated by other violent drunks and they will FIGHT FOR DOMINANCE (and remainders of booze). I worry about Eddie once again. D:

@Oly-RRR: Ohmygod the idea of a colony of perpetual drunks dominating the forest is way too perfect.

Reply Oly-RRR, July 28th, 2014, 4:33 pm

@mitchellbravo: The actual woodland animals are too terrified of them to intervene! :D

Reply mitchellbravo, July 28th, 2014, 5:30 pm

@Oly-RRR: LOL
