Golly they'll just be overjoyed at the idea
Can I just color rock faces forevermore it's pretty soothing, tia
And look we can sign them up for the complimentary email newsletter too!
Weeks later a very serious park ranger is at Cecilia's house, pounding on the door, demanding to know why she vandalized the rock graffiti
@Sortelli: Not gonna lie I kind of love the idea of trees and other vandalizable spaces being the spammy, skeevy social sites of yesteryear.
I kinda wish I had left something on all those old historical sites I visited as a kid that had those extensive walls of sometimes-endorsed graffiti, kinda feels like adding to the history when you look at it that way. Oh man now I am inspired with story ideas! THANKS~
@Sortelli: gjhghghgh you're welcome <3
The saddest thing is when one of such locations gets demolished :( In our park in town there was a gnarly, ancient tree that everyone would climb on and, of course, deface. There were signatures and love notes on that thing ranging back so long that you couldn't even read it anymore because the bark had stretched apart, decades if not perhaps a century.
A few years ago the tree finally got sick and was unsafe for people to climb on anymore and so the town had to slice it out of the ground. It felt, to me at least, like a cryptic window into the past of our town's culture was eradicated.
Which is just in keeping with the way life works- generations losing the details of prior generations' lives, but it's sad to watch it happen so markedly and literally.
D'awww, this is adorable but those obligatory places with "BOB WUZ HERE" always make me a little amused - the closest human race has left to the ancient animal habit of marking their territory! :D
