Byyye Sal.

The way I first sketched out the last panel, it was a lot better at displaying the wonkiness of Joseph's gait but the staging made the panel look awkward so. I guess you'll all have to go another while before seeing Joseph taking big rocking strides showing the grand scale of his swagger.

Discord by Daphne Hutcheson

This comic just started this summer, and although I'm a little worried that it won't come back, it's only 23 pages long so it's worth catching up to even just for the time being. The first chapter introduced our protagonist, the detective guy there in the image I posted whose head is intriguingly a light bulb. That swingset appears to be an interdimensional portal through which the rest of our cast eventually comes to meet him. The art is highly pleasing- it began with a lovely traditional-looking spot-black heavy grayscale look, and now plays out more midtones in a more modern style I find is more popular among digital artists. Perhaps you all might like to stop by and drop the artist a line if you like the cut of Discord's jib.

I'm feeling less shitty today than I did yesterday! Yaaay. Going to try to edit up a few more pages to get us through the week. I also need to try to finish reading my book that is due at the library. But we'll see which task takes priority come the dark hours.

For some reason I imagine Eddie staring at Joseph and then leaning forward until he can quietly bang his head on the piano for a bit.

Oh Joseph, stop being such a perfectionist, this was supposed to be a fun time! But look who's talking... :P

@Oly-RRR: I think there's a naughty film out there that has a similar premise XD

Yessss I could see that too!! Just flopping gently over as if on a hinge :P

Aahaha I don't know if it would have been better for Joseph to do this ALONE or if he's better off with the gang... with them around he feels like they're causing all the problems, but if they weren't there he'd have no one to blame but himself...

@mitchellbravo: I bet there's more than one film like that. XD

If all else failed Joseph could go the patented Teague route - They Hate Me Because Of My Disability!

Reply mitchellbravo, October 1st, 2014, 9:36 pm

@Oly-RRR: 99% sure that gets mentioned in Denis Leary's book XD

(the Teague thing, not the Clarabelle's butt thing. lol)

@mitchellbravo: If only Denis Leary was aware of the majestic sight of Clarabelle's butt... :D Lol, it's like that episode where Tommy and Lou argued about how to write poetry for women!

Clearly, a montage would have prevented this.
