Between looking up references for this page and looking up references for when Tony had his busted nose, I have to say, "fresh injuries" are probably my least favorite thing to have to do research for. :/
On the other hand, I kind of wish I could just put Mitzi in every single storyline. Her superhero jaw, her tiny E.T. looking hands, her vague resemblance to Ms. Beazley from the Archie comics. Just have her sitting there, a bottle of scotch beside her armrest, laying out her opinions on each character's decisions in her bizarre accent.
Tomorrow will be the last page of this set of updates.
Yup, I guessed it right a page ago. Aw Aggie... :C
I'm not sure what's my least favourite research theme buuuut I've been planning stuff about this one character getting an eye injury (as in a physical injury to the eye) and I have a friend who's a microbiologist and in one of her classes there was a "wall of eye injuries" and all she tells me is "DON'T DO IT" but I think I gotta do it... D:
And yesss, Mitzi is great, you should sneak her into backgrounds at least, always there, squinting disapprovingly! :D
@Oly-RRR: Oh god. I don't think I could do the eyeball stuff. I've looked at pictures after goign on wiki-walks out of curiosity of WHAT CAN GO WRONG WITH THE HUMAN BODY but I don't think I could stomach enough familliarty to draw the stuff...
Ahahahaha maybe I will, maybe I'll try sticking her in family photos on walls and stuff like that XD
@mitchellbravo: I know I can't draw eye torture stuff like in Utopia (ugh I still can't get back to that show, the first episode was terrifying) but I think I'll get through stuff that doesn't lead to removing the eyeball. But definitely not looking forward to it. 8( Still, I decided that everyone having vision impairment only on brain/nerve level would be kinda suspicious so gotta bite that bullet.
Mitzi - everyone's relative! :D You could also branch out and draw her family, all looking eerily like younger copies of her...
I kinda want to see him get a matching one, if not worse. This shit really pisses me off.
Sadly, he is a fictional character, and the only fictional characters I can hurt are my own. Hopefully, he gets his comeuppance.
@The_Hankerchief: I don't want to make any promises, but I will say- I definitely appreciate the sentiment.
@mraab: I'd say so! I imagine she used to run a brothel or similar "shady business" so she's seen plenty of rough people come and go.
Ahh, Aggie! Get out of there!
Also, great dramatic use of paneling/angles here!
God, I can't handle looking at injuries on google at all, I feel ya there. :( Like when you just want to double check what a brown recluse looks like again, and there's all these horrifying pics of recluse bites.
Injuries are something I'll have to get better at drawing eventually, but it's sooo hard for me to look at actual photos of that stuff.
@Bluezilla: She can't hear you, but I'm sure she would appreciate you being on her side D: And thank you!!
@Dranxis: Ugh, exactly!! I'm too sympathetic with this stuff, and depending on how the picture is staged you always wonder if the person ended up alright or, you know, was in a situation like Aggie's and never made it out in the end... :(
It's funny, the difference between an injury received by accident and one deliberately *given* as shown here sometimes is the arbiter of whether I can stomach looking at/drawing something? Kind of like, I don't mind watching surgery shows where they're saving or helping the person, but when it's gory torture stuff or wounds from an assault I just get really uncomfortable :(
Well, Aggie, it's starting to look like Clarabelle was right about running away with Donnie.
@Squirreltastic-Blue: *nods disappointedly*
