Next page should be coming up either tomorrow or Tuesday depending on how hate-filled I am at either time.

It's sad that my favorite part of the page is those two old birds in the top left who were literally added in totally just before I colored the picture and who are not ever scheduled to appear again. XP

I had more I wanted to say, but looking at the page now I just keep noticing errors I forgot to fix so I think I'm just gonna post it before I piss myself off too much.

See you soon, fingers crossed!

OMG IT HAPPENED!! Hush, this page is great and I mean it - poses, gestures, little details and soft shading. Honestly I start feeling sort of calmer after you update because if my pages look as good to you as your look to me then we're both doing a really good job and should stop beating ourselves up about it already. XD

BE PROUD OF UR ACHIEVEMENT LIKE ALASTAIR, DECORATE UR FRIDGE WITH ALL TEH GOLD STARS

And the old bats are my favourite part too - all that panel, actually, it's has this nice feel of movement in a panoramic shot, like this was animation or live action the camera would glide from the ladies to Mr Brennan and Leon!

Also I'm daft like Tony and my thoughts during panels 2 and 3 were literally "Wow why did people donate so much today how did it work maybe it was because- ohhh!" :D

Waaah all the feelings from this chapter I love it but I caaan't, it's like watching British dramas, everyone is lovely and loves each other but they cannot be together and live in misery so they will sadly eyefuck across a tea set if they are posh or drink until they cannot see if they are not posh- Iiii mean they move away to Chicago. I'll be here with my box of tissues. 8(

Either this is a total coincidence, or you made a very subtle homage to me by using my first name for Mr. Brennan's last name. Either way, I approve. Fine name, that is.

Incidentally, my being named Brennen was itself a nod to Walter Brennan, the famous "singing cowboy" actor and musician (similar to Roy Rogers). Two things about it: 1) Dad misspelled "Brennan" on the birth certificate (which is why my name has an "e" at the end), and 2) he almost named me Walter; the only reason he didn't is because my mom picked my twin brother's name (Aaron Ray) and decided to make my name (Brennen Dayn) rhyme. If he'd named me Walter, then instead of being referred to as "A & B" by relatives like we currently are, we'd be "A & W". My cousins think this is hilarious for some reason.

Irene Casti...?
~in~
The...?

I'd pay 10 cents to see it, even if the whole move is obscured by an advertisement.

Also, I'm going to miss Leon, y'know. Him being my favorite character and all.

@Oly-RRR: Awwww thank you!!! I agree about our pages!! :D We tend to be extra critical of our own stuff it seems but it's so nice to know I'm doing something alright!!

LMAO, I'm going to have to message you about that panel when I reply in one of our threads :D It turned out pretty decent though given how brain-wracking it was!!

AHAHAA XD Poor Tony just thinking all of his EXPIRT MARKITING was finally paying off!!!

LOL. And now i want to draw a scene like that with the tea sets XD I'm so excited for everyone to go their separate ways and BECOME REAL PEOPLE but at the same time I'm sad that they're not going to be together for a very very long time hereforth :C

@The_Hankerchief: Lol Hank!!! For what it's worth you got a shout-out back on http://loudera.smackjeeves.com/comics/1723547/4-18-dammit-dammit/ this page where Mr. Brennan (last?) appeared. You even have the same initials but in reverse! (Not that you're going to catch anyone in this comic calling him Herb and getting away with it).

That's a neat tale, A&W would have been fantastic :D Walter is one of the names I'd really like to give to an eventual son, since it was my Pop Pop's name and I like that it's one of those old-timey kinda names that doesn't sound too stuffy but isn't too fancy either.

@Squirreltastic-Blue: Irene Castle in The Girl from Bohemia!! ^u^ Lmao, it'd DEFINITELY be worth ten cents, I'm sure... I get a little bummed to think most of these old films are totally gone from existence but from what I can tell by the reviews on IMDB of the few that remain and are available to watch, we probably wouldn't have enjoyed them much anyway.

Awww, I agree on Leon- he will come back someday, but I do need to write him out for a while. It's gotten to where I like him too much and he's starting to become a Mary Sue, so I figure I'll cut things off at the pass until I come up with some more interesting problems he can have later :P

I do think that you might be the first claimant to identify Leon as their favorite character!

@mitchellbravo: Maybe you've been working on it subconsciously! But yeah, some panels are really troublesome but then you look back at them and it feels worth it! Can't wait to hear the full story! :D

I bet Cal has a tea set like that. Or Cecilia. OR BOTH OF THEM! So there will be enough to go round. But aw, yeah, it's kind of like the ending of Mowgli or Cabin Pressure - you know characters have to move on to grow and you know it's a good thing but it's just bittersweet...

@The_Hankerchief: Just wanted to say that I love stories about names and names that didn't happen - it's fun to think about it all! :D Both A&B and A&W sound great (though it took me googling to get the last one) ...and now I feel an urge to name some characters A&E!!

Reply The_Hankerchief, February 10th, 2015, 3:24 am

@mitchellbravo: Oh yeah, he's appeared before.... Suddenly I feel guilty for not remembering, and now must drown that guilt by re-reading your entire archive.

(And my brother wonders why I keep going over the shared data limit on our cell phone plan. Is it bad that the limit is 15 GBs, and most of that is used by me?)

Also, Walter is a fine name too. I can imagine you ten years from now: "Play the violin, Walter...."

("No, Mama, no! Please!")

@Oly-RRR:Who's the E?

Reply Squirreltastic-Blue, February 10th, 2015, 1:05 pm

@mitchellbravo: It's a real movie from "waaaay back in the daaaaay?" I'm constantly impressed with your accuracy and detail!

Reply Oly-RRR, February 10th, 2015, 5:22 pm

@The_Hankerchief: Not sure yet but we can expect something alarming from them (which is fitting for Cop Story)! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emergency_department

Reply The_Hankerchief, February 12th, 2015, 5:38 am

@Oly-RRR: Oh, I get it now! For a minute, I thought you were referencing the A&E channel.

Reply mitchellbravo, February 13th, 2015, 7:08 pm

@Oly-RRR: upcoming LE spinoff: TEA AT CLARABELLE'S. Her family's from the south so it would probably be sweet tea and optional mint juleps but THE END RESULT IS SURELY THE SAME. And yeah, that's how I feel about it!!!

@The_Hankerchief: LMAO YES. I am forever grateful to you for introducing me to that video. XD

@Oly-RRR and Hank I honestly thought "Arts & Entertainment" first, too! Whenever Oly and I are talking in a medical context I can put together that you mean what we refer to as the ER here but ELSEWISE IT ALWAYS TAKES ME A WHILE TO CATCH IT.

@Squirreltastic-Blue: Awww, thank you!! The poster itself isn't real, I just took the title and a picture of the actress that is hopefully chronologically correct and bsed my way to it. There's probably some repository online somewhere that has every old movie poster ever made but I've yet to bother searching for it because I'm too lazy- I think depending on distribution different theaters had different posters for the same movies anyway, which makes it tough (though kind of cool, now that I imagine it could have been somebody's job at each theater district to paint up the posters for each film being featured. I'll have to look into it more!)

Besides everything, my favorite part about this strip is that Leon uses 'panty-waist' as an insult (albeit a loving one)

Reply mitchellbravo, April 3rd, 2015, 8:30 pm

@Bluezilla: Ahahaha thanks!! I think it ties the page together honestly XP
