I'm glad I finished this page in time for it to go up this week, because today (well, the 23rd) actually marks 8 years since I stepped on to my own college campus, freshman year. The reason I can recall the specific date is because it is also the birthday of @malfoypride: who lived across the hall from me that year and immediately became my best college friend. Just this weekend I had the good fortune of seeing her for a birthday celebration, so again- HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRIEND YOU'RE THE BESTESTESTESTESTEST

Anyway I felt that timing was nice and appropriate :)

I had a pretty good time coloring this page. Aside from a little tweaking of levels to make the dark colors pop a bit more, the color itself is actually digitally untouched. It's been so long since I colored anything that I forgot where I had a bunch of materials- the principal skin tone I used for Eddie was in a pencil cup for some reason, and one of the little plastic shelves on top of my drawing desk actually still had the markers in it from when I was coloring Joseph & Cecilia's scene a few months ago. 8| A bucket of fading/dead markers was in a larger desk drawer and came into some use although there's only so much you can do with markers that are that far gone.

It's soooo nice to edit a page without any dialogue. Speech balloons always take me what feels like ages to clean up to be legible enough, so I always look forward to pages like this that are pretty straightforward editing wise- scan, combine scans to one file, de-skew, touch up inking errors if needed, adjust levels/color, delineate gutters. A lot less time and tedium spent, and I think it's also good for pensive characters like Eddie to just be passing the time quietly now and then.

There is a small continuity error on this page that bothers me but I don't care enough to fix it. Lol, it's like those puzzles they always had in the Highlights magazine- what's different between these two panels??

Other than that, things have been tough this summer because of how intensive my summer courses wound up being, and a few other domestic things that were going on. Blah blah, same old.

Continuity error... You mean the evergreen tree?

1) Loud Era updates again!! ALSO EDDIE EDDIE EDDIE
2) It's just the vibe of it, this... new beginning and everything looking so grand and cheerful and Eddie OVERFILLED with it and that happy bloke in a red vest and the clock on the old building - it's the kind of stuff that was mostly an illusion when it comes to my own "college experience" but for some reason being reminded of it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
3) This page does look good, you feeling more comfortable about colours shows through!

But hey, you know your pages make me happy! X) RIGHT, I MUST GO DRAW NOW

@Squirreltastic-Blue: No, but I like the way you're thinking! Eddie's bowtie goes from flapping free to hiding under his backpack strap in the last panel.

2. Lmao do you know I thought of you when I drew the happy guy leading the tour???? I don't know why but when I got that face drawn I was like, Oly will be happy with this guy. XD And that's exactly what I was going for with the feeling and the atmosphere!
