I mean, I guess it's a fair concern. Some places just aren't built for generously sized persons. Eddie experiences this too due to his height, in fact I realize now I drew the top of the door way too high in comparison to the two of them. Even slouching, Eddie's over 6 feet tall, and Phil I envision around 6'2".

I'll have a little more to say about their cramped dorm room itself on the next page next week, just based on what I came across when doing research.

I will say that this room is based almost exactly, square foot for square foot, on my dorm I had freshman year, except we had more length. The layout is pretty much the same. In fact, I was originally going to make the joke on this page also based on something that happened when we moved in to that room freshman year.

It's not much of a story, but the sun never touched our room save for a brief time aroudn 5pm when it would cast across my roommate's side of the wall before setting. We were on the ground floor and a large tree was right in front of our window, and the shadows from neighboring dorm buildings also kept the sun from peeking in. The place felt like a cave, we had no overhead light and the two lamps that came with the place didn't help too much. I was going to draw this exchange out the same way, with the two of them scrambling around trying to turn on lamps and open blinds all in vain, but that's really not that funny and wouldn't be much fun to draw either. It's barely even an interesting story on its own and is hardly ever relevant.

The next page is inked, I'll be coloring it next. Not sure how soon the following scene will start after that. I'm still dedicating time every day to do comic stuff so it's getting easier (an exposition type shot on the next page that I would normally put off for days, weeks, I just straight up sat down and did once I finished the rest of the page, so that was a neat first). I don't know how long I'll be able to make that last but it's helping me keep my mind off other things so I'm trying to keep it up.

Hope all is well with you guys, see you soon.

"Eddie's roommate had a big crash on him..." #blcomic #ohwait

BUNK BEDS ARE COOL

EXCEPT WHEN YOU'RE TRAPPED UNDER ONE

This page made me laugh, I mean Phil is such a jerk but this WAS funny! :D I wish I had an opportunity to sleep in a bunk bed - I mean I know these days there are all sorts of options where the bottom is not a bunk but just some recreational space or a desk area or something buuut it's the money and energy I don't have and I don't think the rats would be too keen on that either (they spend A LOT of time on my bed).
