Like obviously he's just playing some old jazz or whatever but it's fun to imagine the first panel is like really intense techno-club-dubstep music.

I hope today you feel as blissed out as the dude bottom left in panel 3.

First comment! Hee hee.

Since I last commented I've finally found an RSS compiler to keep track of the fifty comics I read/have read, so now I don't have to login here to find out if Loud Era has updated! But I hadn't checked in a while so I was worried you'd thrown in the towel this year. So...hooray for 2019 updates!! So glad you're still working on this.

I reread bits and pieces of the comic too, trying to get back into it, and was just overwhelmed with how good everything was. Man, this page was so delightful. I love it when Eddie gets a break--weird, awkward, oblivious Eddie. It's so satisfying to see somebody you know has a secret talent suddenly wow the world with it. I kinda hope he eventually gets some romance. That'd be...interesting :)

I reread some of the bits about Marie & Eddie (while trying to remember WHY it was so awful to her that the obnoxious farmhand looks so much like him) and found them even more moving because I realized that if it had been me in high school with Eddie, put in the same situations, I probably would have had the exact same feelings--and acted on them in the exact same hopeless, confused, socially inept way. Marie is so much like high-school me, down to being the tiny girl with the blonde hair cut weirdly short. And Eddie, well, he's charmingly dysfunctional. And tall. <3

Dropping a comment here to encourage you to keep going, and just remind you how much I adore these characters! Thanks so much for keeping up with your comic!

@Bluezilla: omg omg

Yes I'm still here!!! I'm so glad to hear from you!!

Oh man your compliment really has made my heart soar. Since I slowed down I wondered if I was getting worse at pacing or just writing in general so that means a lot to me.

I think you will really enjoy Eddie's college arc :D :D He's been really fun to write and there's a lot in store for him coming up in the next few chapters. I'll remain mum on the romance forecast XD

I'm so glad you could piece that together from reading the comic (Marie's reaction to Rude Freddie) without it being like textually explicit?? I worried whether or not that motive was going to come across properly!! And I had a lot in common with Marie too, especially just in terms of being extremely socially bizarre and not quite "getting it" during adolescence...

Your comment really meant a lot to me, so thank you!! A few years ago I got really into making my comic like prescriptively perfect (or perfect as I could get it anyway) and was really obsessed with what reviewers/critics/readers thought about it at a critical, like, meta-textual level... then that stressed me out too much and I fell out of love with making comics for a while. Now I'm starting to draw more often and write more often again and kinda came to the realization I have to do this for myself and my own mental well-being... but I was on that janky hiatus for so long that most of my readership has either dropped my comic or just isn't around anymore. And even though I'm now doing this because I need it, I still miss hearing from readers more often... so yeah, much much gratitude to you for dropping by and leaving this lovely message :) :)

Can't take too much party time, can he? I can relate, big gatherings can be exhausting even if it's all going well.

I really like the colour scheme here, like purple is a relief after all that red and orange. :)

@Oly-RRR: Yup same D: D:

Yayyy I'm glad- I'm trying to get back to the kind of coloring I could do a few years ago, it's like I need to retrain my brain to be abole to take those coloring risks and have them work out...
